Dr. Valerie Fong grew up in the San Francisco Bay area in California where she received her Bachelor of Science degree and Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2008. She then went on to complete an additional Advanced Education in General Dentistry program in Boston through Lutheran Medical Center. After working as a general dentist she realized she wanted to pursue her career in pediatrics and completed her pediatric dental residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She became board certified in 2014 through the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and stays up-to-date with continuing education annually. She feels the most rewarding part of her job is helping children of all ages and needs have a positive experience visiting the dentist.

When she’s not working for the tooth fairy, Dr. Valerie spends her time chasing after her toddler at the park, taking her to splash pads, or cooking up new recipes for her to try. Her favorite family-friendly restaurant to eat at with friends is Patrizi’s! Fun Fact: Dr. Valerie was a Girl Scout from Daisy to Senior when she was growing up, and she still loves Thin Mints and Samoas!
